About Us

Who are we?

We are a FIRST Tech Challenge (FTC) robotics team from Moline High School in Moline, Illinois. Founded in 2023, our team is made up of passionate students who are eager to learn about STEM and robotics. We compete in the FTC competitions, where we design, build, and program robots to complete various challenges. Our team is dedicated to fostering a love for STEM and robotics in our community, while also developing our skills in teamwork, leadership, and problem-solving.

Mission Statement

We’re the Maroon Mechanics: a team of YOUNG, curious minds and creative builders who turn big ideas into real world robots. Through teamwork, innovation, and a passion for learning, we tackle challenges head on, growing together and making STEM more exciting and approachable for everyone. Whether we’re TEN steps ahead or fine-tuning before a match, we bring the energy, the effort, and the engineering.
